1)What scene in "The Big Durian" made an impression on you, and why?
The most impression scene is a scene where the camera is chasing after a member of public and focus on the malay women is keeping refusing to interview. She keep saying “I don’t know” and run away. I think she may feel embarrassing and nervous in front of camera.
2) What was rumoured to be Private Adam's grouse (pain)/reason which lead to him running amuck (amok)?
Adam’s brother killed by the sultan of Johore during Adam's brother in the sultan's house.
For my opinion, Adam was feeling disappointed with government treat unfairness to him and on his brother incident, so that he want give regarding issues message send to public through of this film.
3) A character from Sabah ends her narrative by noting the look on Private Adam's face. What was it that she saw and how does it contrast with her feelings?
The Sabah's girl saw that Adam has a freedom of life and did his like things, make her jealous that hopeful can get that same life of Adam and achieve what she wants.
4) From what historical vantage point is the director viewing the events of 1987? what is "present" of the documentary and what is its mood?
Director Amir is trying to find out the Malaysian's perspective through capture on this film and sharing with public of talk about race, religion, and education and politic. All of these were reflected that citizens perception and can release out what their wants. He was creative and strong subjective with element of historical, all can seen in the film. Fortunately, Amir accomplishes his mission with struggling in the processes of production in this film.

Malaysian Artist And Malaysia Histories
After I went Petronas gallery, I realized that I was interesting of Liew Kung Yu's Art work. He is a Malaysia artist and exclusive contemporary artists. Although he is fifty years old man but he is ambitious to achieve his dream as held an exhibition with photo collages titled “Cadangan-cadangan Untuk Negaraku” is means Proposal for My Country at Galleri Petronas for own country. His artwork was inspiring his own vision with Malaysian urban and ritual environment, Malaysian lifestyle and histories of multiracial society. Liew Kung Yu has exhibited widely over the region and internationally. He has worked in various media from installation and performance to theatre design. For these latest four large photo collages of public sculptures by photographed while traveling around the country. By the way, the historian author named Anthony Milner is writing Malaysia histories for published books. I would relevant the works from Liew Kung Yu between Anthony Milner, because both of them relevant with national histories.
Liew Kung Yu was elaborate and frenetic through in the art works, national achievement and representing our future life in Malaysia. However, I thought that his art works was inspired Malaysia history which is our multi racial culture, custom and community. The reason for this "Proposal for My Country "series where sophisticated visual technique with populist aesthetics into everyone can understands through his work.
Liew’s art works were linked an aesthetic of traditional cultures, and the latest Proposal for My Country has combined moral commitment associated with mural projects that normally instruct and impress upon the public the collective vision of a nation. Otherwise, histories context of geographic, demographic and political substance as subject reflected national unity society. The historical data and historical building would proved that previous period experiences and making sharing of Malaysian nation among multiethnic citizens. His art works also evoked these elements as well as performance of multiple perspectives, positions, visional for Malaysian.
Proposal for My Country series have created four large scale digital photo collages of Bandar Sri Tiang Kolom, Konkrit Jungle, Metropolis Warisan and Pantai Gelora Cahaya. All of these as a series of monumental real sense of happiness, success playful, and beautiful country of our environment with relationship between urban communities. These series photo collages as a symbolize civilisations adorn kampungs, natural environment, succeed development country, fastest growing economies and rapidly aging populations of migrants toward Malaysia.
In Liew’s work we can found that growth of a multi-racial nationalism through monumental Malaysian national development which as we shall see towards being a nation-building has been impressive of achievement economic and social development. Malaysia’s nation- building has been accompanied by high economic growth, such as airport, highways, LRT transits, KL Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and Malaysia industrials. Liew used an ideas consist of nation building between Malaysia historical narrative virtually connection to the past and today. It also influences inspiration of Malaysian ambition and interests to understand more about own country.
